Trent Yarwood is an infectious diseases physician from far north Queensland, whose professional interests include antimicrobial stewardship, infection control and HIV medicine.  He has academic appointments as a senior lecturer with James Cook University and the University of Queensland.

Trent Yarwood is an infectious diseases physician, and is the director of the Queensland Statewide Antimicrobial Stewardship Program. He has also worked as a medical advisor to the Commission for Safety and Quality in Healthcare's AURA program, and has academic appointments as a senior lecturer with James Cook University and the University of Queensland. 

HIV focused

Trent Yarwood is an infectious diseases physician from Cairns. His HIV interests are the management of medically comorbid HIV and pregnancies in HIV+ families.  Trent was on the board of the Australasian Society for HIV Medicine, Viral Hepatitis and Sexual Health (ASHM) between 2014-17, and is a senior lecturer with James Cook University and the University of Queensland. 

Future Wise

Trent is a medical specialist and member of the leadership team of Future Wise Australia, an independent NGO which focuses on health, technology, education and their impact on society.  As well as healthcare policy, Trent has a strong interest in the intersection of health and privacy - including e-health, electronic medical records and the ethics of public health surveillance.
